A business center Costco (Costco Business Centre in Canada) opens at 7 a.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday, closes at 7 p.m., and is stocked for restaurants, offices and convenience stores. If you run a food or office business near one, it is worth a membership trip; for household shopping, a regular warehouse is the better fit.
The difference is the assortment and the early opening, not a separate kind of store you need special access to: a valid Costco membership gets you in.

Costco lists closures for Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Canada Day, Labour Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, with some regional exceptions. Check your location's page before a holiday trip.
Who can shop at a Costco Business Centre?
Anyone with a valid Costco membership. Costco's location pages say a membership is required; they don't limit entry to Business members. A Business membership costs $65 a year, the same as Gold Star; see our membership price guide.

Costco's location pages list 9 Business Centres in Canada: 5 in Ontario, 3 in Quebec and 1 in Alberta. Three opened in late 2025 (Mississauga, Québec City and East Gwillimbury).

What do Business Centres sell that regular warehouses don't?
Business Centres carry restaurant supplies, office furniture and business products, and offer business delivery. The older centres (Scarborough, Gloucester, St. Catharines, Saint-Hubert, West Edmonton) list the full set, including fresh meat and a produce and deli area. The two newest Ontario centres, East Gwillimbury and Mississauga, also list beer and wine. Three have a gas station: West Edmonton, East Gwillimbury and Anjou. Which credit card should you use at a Business Centre?
Business Centres take Mastercard. The CIBC Costco Business Mastercard has no annual fee and pays 2% on Costcobusinesscentre.ca orders, shipping and insurance services, and 1% in the warehouse.
