Costco's Tire Centres install tires bought from Costco at no charge for members, with lifetime rotation, balancing and flat repairs and a 5-year road hazard warranty. How it works and how to book.

The Costco tires center (Costco calls it the Tire Centre) installs tires you buy from Costco at no charge, then rotates, balances and repairs them for the life of the tire, with a 5-year road hazard warranty. That bundle, not the sticker price alone, is why Costco is usually our first stop for a set of tires.
The catch is that the services only apply to tires bought from Costco. Compare the full installed price, not just the tire price, when you shop around.
What does Costco's tire installation include?
Installation at no charge when you buy the tires from a Costco Tire Centre, plus Lifetime Maintenance Services for the life of those tires (Costco notes some limits may apply):

What does Costco's road hazard warranty cover?
All passenger, performance and light truck tires sold through Costco get a 5-year Road Hazard Warranty. If a tire is damaged during normal, legal driving, Costco will repair or replace it; replacements come as a credit toward a new tire based on the remaining tread. Each tire also carries the manufacturer's own warranty.
How do you book a Costco tire appointment?
Book online at costcotireappointments.ca. If you order tires on Costco.ca, they ship to the Tire Centre you choose at no charge, usually in 5 to 10 business days, and you get an email when they arrive so you can book the installation. A shipped tire order can't be cancelled.
Do you need a Costco membership for tires?
Yes. Costco says installation is only available on tires bought from a Costco Tire Centre by Costco members. A membership costs $65 a year for Gold Star; see our membership price guide.
Can you return tires to Costco?
Not as a straight refund. Costco's return policy treats tires as a product with a limited useful life covered by its own warranty, so problems go through the road hazard or manufacturer warranty. Details are in our return policy guide.
