Costco online shopping in Canada runs through Costco.ca, which sells many items the warehouses don't carry and delivers them to your door. Prices on Costco.ca include shipping and handling, so the same item can cost more online than in the warehouse, and Costco.ca won't match warehouse prices. Unlike the warehouse, Costco.ca accepts Visa. The CIBC Costco Mastercard pays 2% on Costco.ca orders, on the first $8,000 a year.

How does Costco online shopping work in Canada?
Create an account on Costco.ca, add items to your cart and pay at checkout; each product page lists its own delivery method and terms under "Shipping & Returns". From Costco's customer service pages, checked October 4, 2026:
| Delivery type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Standard delivery | Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx or UPS to your door; usually no appointment or signature |
| Curbside delivery | Large or heavy items, by appointment, left at the curb |
| Threshold delivery | By appointment, to the first dry area such as a garage or just inside the door |
| Warehouse pickup | On eligible items, shown under "Add to Cart"; members only |
| Express shipping | Not offered |
Remote areas pay an extra shipping and handling fee per item, quoted at checkout from your postal code.
Are Costco.ca prices the same as in the warehouse?
Not always. Costco says products sold online "may have different pricing" than in the warehouse because of shipping and handling, and the vast majority of online items are supplemental to what warehouses carry. Costco.ca doesn't price match warehouses or other retailers. When an item is sold in both places, its Costco.ca page says it "may currently be in stock at your local Costco warehouse for immediate purchase at a cash-and-carry price", a hint to check the warehouse first. Our price tracker shows recorded prices where we have them.
What does Costco Grocery delivery cost?
Costco Grocery items are ordered on Costco.ca (look for the Costco Grocery tag). Orders under $75 before tax pay a $3 per item surcharge; orders over $75 don't. Remote areas pay extra per item. Costco Grocery doesn't price match the warehouse.
Which credit cards does Costco.ca accept?
Visa, Mastercard (from any bank) and debit, including Debit Mastercard. American Express isn't accepted. That makes Costco.ca the one place a Visa rewards card works at Costco; see what Costco accepts in the warehouse, at the gas station and online.
What is the best credit card for Costco.ca orders?
For most members, the CIBC Costco Mastercard: 2% on Costco.ca with no annual fee, on the first $8,000 of Costco.ca purchases a year, then 1% until January 1, per CIBC's benefits guide. Example only, against a flat 1% card:
| Costco.ca a month | CIBC Costco Mastercard | A flat 1% card |
|---|---|---|
| $100 | $24 | $12 |
| $300 | $72 | $36 |
| $700 | $164 | $84 |
| $1,000 | $200 | $120 |
Above about $667 a month of Costco.ca orders, the extra spending earns 1%, so a card with a higher flat rate on everything, Visa included, can beat it for very large online orders. For a business, the CIBC Costco Business Mastercard pays 2% on Costco.ca and Costcobusinesscentre.ca, also on the first $8,000 a year.
Does Executive membership pay on Costco.ca orders?
Costco's help pages we checked describe the 2% reward as calculated on "eligible purchases" without spelling out online orders, so our calculations count it on warehouse purchases only. If you're deciding on Executive, see when the upgrade pays off, and check whether your Costco.ca orders show up in your reward.
What if the price drops after you order?
Costco.ca credits the difference when the Costco.ca price drops within 30 days of your order; see how to claim a Costco.ca price adjustment. Returns follow the Costco return policy.
